Home How it works

Discover. Review. Connect. Collaborate.

Meridian is built around one belief: the introduction matters as much as the search. Here is exactly what happens, step by step.

01 — DISCOVER

Discover

Search for professionals based on skills, profession, location, experience and expertise.

  • Filter by profession, skills, seniority, availability, language and rate
  • Switch between grid and list views
  • Every result shows real reputation, not paid placement
Start searching
02 — REVIEW

Review

Explore their profile, portfolio, experience, skills, previous work and professional reputation.

  • Full work history and education
  • Portfolio pieces with context, not just thumbnails
  • Reviews from people they have actually worked with
See a profile
03 — CONNECT

Connect

Send a collaboration request and explain what you need.

  • Name the project and say why this person
  • The recipient sees your full profile alongside the request
  • Accept or decline — nothing happens until they choose
Send a request
04 — COLLABORATE

Collaborate

Once both professionals accept, unlock private messaging and work together.

  • Private chat with files and attachments
  • Shared tasks, milestones and notes
  • Add more collaborators as the team grows

Common questions

The details people ask about

Can anyone message me?

No. Messaging only opens after you accept a collaboration request. Until then, a request sits in your network tab where you can review the sender’s full profile before deciding.

What does verified mean?

A verified badge means we have confirmed identity and, where relevant, professional registration or qualifications. It is not a quality judgement — reviews and portfolio do that job.

Does it cost anything to join?

Creating a profile, appearing in search and receiving collaboration requests are free. Fees only apply to premium placement and enterprise team accounts.

Who owns the work?

You and your client do. Meridian is where the collaboration happens; the commercial terms are yours to agree. We recommend recording them in the project notes.

Can I hire a whole team?

Yes — that is what the Collaborate area is for. Post a brief with the roles you need and invite matched professionals individually.

How are matches scored?

On required skills, industry experience, availability, location and delivery history. Every match card shows the actual reasons, so you can judge whether the score means anything for your project.
